Watch The Med Alarm Phone is a network of activists and volunteers, established in October 2014 in Europe and North Africa. It established a self-organised emergency number for migrants in distress in the Mediterranean Sea. It provides wider visibility to the SOS of people in distress. It documents, informs coast guards and, when necessary, mobilises additional rescue possibilities in real time. It has reached the different migration routes, extending to desert crossings. It produces annual reports, research and recently a series of podcasts to help disseminate correct information on migration issues and border consequences.

Watch The Med Alarm Phone è una rete di attiviste e volontari, creata nell’ottobre del 2014 in Europa e Nord Africa. Ha istituito un numero di emergenza auto-organizzato per migranti in difficoltà nel Mar Mediterraneo. Offre una più ampia visibilità all’SOS delle persone in distress. Documenta, informa le guardie costiere e, quando necessario, mobilita ulteriori possibilità di soccorso in tempo reale. Ha raggiunto le diverse rotte migratorie, estendendosi anche agli attraversamenti del deserto. Realizza report annuali, ricerche e recentemente una serie di podcast per contribuire a diffondere una corretta informazione sulle questioni migratorie e gli effetti delle frontiere.
