Camille Pageard
Camille Pageard has a doctorate in contemporary art history and currently teaches at the ensba in Lyon. His lectures focus on the history of art and design, the history of publishing and contemporary writing.
He was a member of future from 2014 to 2018, and since 2019 has co-edited the publishing house Même pas l’hiver with François Aubart. Together they have recently published A Statement Surprised by Chance by Lytle Shaw, The Architect and the Housewife by Frances Stark, Desolation by Verity Spott, An Emancipatory Middle Age by Clovis Maillet and Thomas Golsenne, The Speech of Others by Craig Owens or “Society Does Not Exist” by Maxime Boidy.
In 2017, he translated with Jean-François Caro Essays on Art and Literature (future ) and Talking to the Borders (Parallel Lives) by David Antin. The same year, he was awarded the Cnap’s support for research in art theory and criticism (research in progress).
With Elsa Boyer he translated Desolation by Verity Spott (Même pas l’hiver, 2022) and En attendant de Mourir à son tour by CAConrad (P.O.L., 2022).
During 2021, he worked on the Sicilian sociologist, activist and writer Danilo Dolci and, in particular, on alternative pedagogies and action research.
Following on from his work on the David Antin and recording techniques, he is currently working on the plastic and theoretical issues raised by techniques for reproducing the sound of the voice.
