diARia
The not-for-profit artistic association Diaria was founded in 2010 in Palermo (Italy).
Diaria was conceived with the three main focuses of pedagogy, art and action-research as tools for situated and collective knowledge. These working axes bring choreographic arts into dialogue with ethnography and post-colonial studies, electronic music, science and ecology, journalism and cultural studies.
Today Diaria has a physical presence in the heart of the city. It is an open space for sharing and meeting, a research space between dance and other body arts, and a cultural programme that has at its core a multidisciplinary and multicultural dimension. At Diaria, dramaturgy and choreography are ways to interweave the question of the body with the public space and the social sphere.
Diaria association hosts Radio Commons platform since 2021, providing a legal framework and administrative support.
