His work in the field of European and international cultural cooperation is accompanied by a reflection on the construction of cultural identities in today’s Europe, where tensions and conflicts are increasingly open. He is particularly interested in the Euro-Mediterranean construction and in cultural relations with the countries on Europe’s eastern border. He is a member of the European Network of Experts for Culture (ENCC). He has held several positions in public performing arts institutions.
