On this island we engage with struggle over the right to speak and be heard. Inspired by Brandon Labelle’s work on Acoustic Justice, this space critically addresses questions of places, borders, community and the acoustic norms defining capacities of listening, leading to “poetic ecologies of resonances”.
This Radio programming was created for the Acoustic Room, a space curated by Giulia Crisci, for Short Theatre Festival 2023, directed by Piersandra Di Matteo, thanks to the support of the Radio That Matters project and the collaboration of Radio Commons, Radio Papesse, Firefly Frequencies, Radio La Colifata, Fango Radio.
