Sandra Dranne Foussier est une exploratrice d’espaces sensibles. Née en France, elle a grandi dans les livres, les imaginaires européens, les récits d’exploration. Voulant allier la pratique de terrain à ses lectures, elle a entrepris d’explorer l’Europe à travers le volontariat en Islande, le salariat en Irlande, les études en Allemagne, l’entrepreneuriat en Belgique. C’est au moment du Confinement qu’elle choisit de suivre la formation I-Team pour se réconcilier avec l’idée d’exploration immobile. Qu’est-ce que l’on peut bien entendre, sentir, voir, comprendre de l’Autre depuis son écran d’ordinateur ? C’est une véritable révélation, et les possibles, les communs, les humain.e.s d’I-Team contribuent à une re-naissance. Le point culminant étant la rencontre de ses camarades aux Moulins de Paillard, centre d’art contemporain dans la campagne de son territoire de naissance, la Sarthe. Le monde était donc là, à portée de voiture électrique en auto-partage ? Désormais, l’art est hybride, collectif et expérimental : des productions sonores sur les grands-mères, aux textes auto-édités (fanzine, recueil de nouvelles), aux gravures sur Tetra Pack (art zéro déchet), Sandra Dranne Foussier s’autorise à poursuivre l’exploration des mondes imaginaires-réels possibles. Ses thèmes de prédilection : l’éco féminisme, l’artivisme, les récits intimes, le handicap invisible, le mal de mère.

Sandra Dranne Foussier is an explorer of sensitive spaces. Born in France, she grew up with books – European imaginary worlds and stories of exploration. Wanting to combine field practice with her reading, she set out to explore Europe through volunteering in Iceland, working in Ireland, studying in Germany and working as an entrepreneur in Belgium. During the time of lockdown, she chose to follow (Relais Culture Europe’s) I-Team training to reconcile herself with the idea of immobile exploration. What can you hear, feel, see and understand about the Other from your computer screen? The possibilities and commonalities that the humans of I-Team contribute to a re-birth was a real revelation. The climax was the meeting of comrades at Moulins de Paillard, a contemporary art centre in the countryside of her birthplace, the Sarthe. So the world was there, within reach of a car-sharing electric car? From now on, art is hybrid, collective and experimental: from sound productions about grandmothers, to self-published texts (fanzine, collection of short stories), to engravings on Tetra Pack (zero waste art), Sandra Dranne Foussier allows herself to continue exploring possible imaginary-real worlds. Her favourite themes: eco-feminism, artivism, intimate stories, invisible disability, mother’s pain.
